Watson Coleman Statement on Appointment of Tahesha Way as Lieutenant Governor
Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ-12) released the following statement on the appointment of Tahesha Way as New Jersey's 3rd Lieutenant Governor:
"I celebrate Secretary Tahesha Way's appointment as New Jersey's Lieutenant Governor. With his choice, Governor Murphy continues to build the best possible team to serve the people of New Jersey through experienced and diverse leadership.
“Tahesha Way has tirelessly and skillfully executed her mission as Secretary of State, best exemplified through her stewardship of our elections under the unprecedented circumstances of the COVID pandemic.
“If anyone is capable of filling the shoes of Lt. Gov. Sheila Oliver, I’m confident that it is Tahesha Way. She will build upon Lt. Gov. Oliver’s extraordinary legacy of advocating for opportunity, equity, and access for all New Jerseyans.”
